Spring Workshops
The Round Table and What Is Your Myth? Saturday & Sunday 15th and 16th March 2025.
I’m delighted to welcome my colleague, Mike Bais from Holland to co-host a weekend workshop on the value of humanity’s Perennial Great Stories. We will work with ritual, meditation, creativity and discussion to re-weave our own magical and transformational Story to help us experience a sense of purpose and delight in our lives.
Participants may attend either or both days.
Human nature needs a core; a perennial wisdom; in order to hold itself balanced and to stand in the light. This is vital both for our own healing and the World’s. Without healthy religion, it must be myth.
Myth is not fantasy; it is the eternal wisdom that helps lead us from our egoic selves through our shadow to a profound and comforting truth that supports life rather than death. Myth is our great storyand without it we will not thrive.
‘The loneliness of mythlessness is the deepest of all: unrelated to the past, unconnected to the future – shades hanging in mid-air’—Rollo May.
The Round Table Workshop. Saturday 15th March 2025 with Rt. Rev. Mike Bais, author of Paths on the Tree of Wisdom (Watkins Books).
Theory, stories, practical work, ritual and meditation we will explore the myths of the Round Table and the Quest for the Holy Grail. This workshop is all about direct experience and spiritual development.
Information + Experience = knowledge and this day you will gain direct knowledge of the power of these myths.
We will draw ‘sword from stone,’ receive the Queen, experience the Round Table, meditate on the Grail guide and make a coat of arms.
What Is Your Myth?: A one-day workshop to re-enchant your soul. Sunday 16th March 2025 with Rev. Maggy Whitehouse
This course follows on naturally from the experiential day about the Quest for the Holy Grail. Here you will discover your own guiding myths and how, if necessary, you can change them for better.
Myth is much more important and true than history. History is just journalism and you know how reliable that is — Joseph Campbell.
Fairy tales hold myths at their heart. Stories such as Cinderella and The Sleeping Beauty, properly told, hold deep messages for our hearts and souls.
What Is Your Myth? is a day of stories to uncover the healing archetypes within each of us. There is only one great story but it comes in many casings — from the crucifixion to Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Myth tells us we can’t move toward hope, peace, transformation, and reconciliation without honouring sorrow and regret — so let us begin. Today we write our own unique and personal myths for living well and in peace.
Join Maggy Whitehouse, mystic, edge-priest, award-winning writer and author of A Woman’s Worth: The Divine Feminine in the Hebrew Testament, Kabbalah Made Easy and Tales of the Blue Panda for this bright and beautiful workshop to reconnect you to the joy of being and your purpose in life.
Location for both workshops: Meeth, Devon, EX20 3QN. Enquiries to: maggy@maggywhitehouse.com

You need to believe in things that aren’t true. How else can they become? ― Terry Pratchett.
